The dress code for Sunday worship: dress comfortably! When attending worship at United Parish you will see members of our congregation wearing jeans and sandals as well as dresses and heels. To us, it's not about what you wear, it's about being present --- and comfortable.
At United Parish we maintain a large parking lot adjacent to the building entrance, including three handicap parking spaces. You are welcome to enter through the front doors and be seated wherever you are most comfortable.
Our facility is fully handicap accessible, allowing parishioners and guests with wheelchairs or walking aids to enter through the front doors. We also have handicap accessible restrooms.
Our weekly worship service offers a user-friendly paper bulletin, which is available as you enter the worship space. The bulletin contains the order of worship, as well as upcoming church and community events. Additionally, two large screens in the worship space offer the same information as the paper bulletin.
At United Parish in Glenwood we welcome babies and children in worship! The sound of little ones is the sound of life. A cry room and nursery room are available for use if needed or if parents so choose. Because United Parish views children and youth as present and future leaders of the church, they are encouraged to participate in worship as acolytes, musicians, liturgists, ushers, and greeters. We welcome you to connect with us to learn more on how your child can become a more active participant throughout Sunday service.
The sacrament of Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month. Bread and grape juice serve as Communion elements. In the traditions of the United Church of Christ and United Methodist Church, all are welcome to partake in Holy Communion.
United Parish follows the policies of Safe Gatherings in order to ensure the safety and welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
